Today’s International Women’s Day Chronicles…
Started by group messaging my sister and mother about life stuff. I transported Michai and his friends to training. A mom from the village group of moms picked them up, which allowed me to visit WSSU’s softball game…Pic 1.
Janel Brown visited me there so I could purchase more Bobz, and also replace a back I lost in the midst of transporting the guys. Pics 2 and 3 were my mood/message for the day.
Went to an early dinner and ran into the women in Pic 4. WSSU’s Vice Chancellor of Advancement (on the left) who is NEVER seen without a smile, dined with one of her mentors who brought up so many memories. Her husband’s uncle was an elder in my church. My grandfather picked him up every Wednesday night for prayer meeting. He was from Jamaica and was my first experience with an accent. He became more difficult to understand when he prayed because he got so excited.
Pic 5…the restaurant’s to go cup 👀 😐
Pic 6…Who I met for the early dinner. She’s making moves at FTCC, keeps me abreast of things I need to know about education, is an adjunct at NCAT (despite being an Eagle), an awesome daughter, wife, mother and my lifelong friend.
Pic 7…”The Petty Life Chose Me” shirt purchased from a new woman owned boutique…boutiqueseveneleven
Keep pushing ladies, and most of all, keep lifting each other up…
