Today’s Work Chronicles…
The phones weren’t too bad.
•There were still a couple calls clarifying if the no visitor policy was really true
•A couple family members didn’t read the sign, so they were shocked when they were told they couldn’t go any further
•A husband, who my mother told me was crying over the phone, came with tears in his eyes to deliver food, water and “something for her to read”
•A sister who wanted a CNA to take a picture of the resident to verify she was “still alive”. She then “hugged” (elbow bumped) my mother and I on her way out
•My temperature has to be checked each time I enter and I have to check temperatures of vendors (they have to be sick of doing this at every facility)
I read this on another post and will encourage you here…this is a GREAT time to complete your Estate Planning. POA, Healthcare POA, Life Insurance (for you and your children. Remember, the one at work doesn’t count if you’re not at work). If your family doesn’t do well in crises, they won’t do well if something happens to you. Families fight the most during weddings and funerals. Eliminate conflict by, discussing your desires, writing them down, getting them notarized. Comment if you are an Estate Planning attorney or can recommend one (not people who take advantage).
I told my mother I was going to get her some stuff so she could go home, I bet she’s still not home yet.
Oh…don’t let ‘Rona take all your money. I’m getting coupons from everyone I’ve ever shopped with 😏
