Today’s Work Chronicles…

Let me follow up my post about gloves with a comment about masks. Really no need to wear them if you’re not going to cover your mouth AND nose. It’s time you smell the same breath we’ve been smelling.

My shift started with a delivery from Pizza Hut. Later learned it didn’t belong here so I called them and said they may want to send a fresh one to the customer because it’s going to be cold and it’s been sitting in a nursing facility. Caller said, they were coming back to get it. My mom agreed for me to call the person on the receipt and tell them they should probably request a fresh order. Driver came back and I was concerned about his wellness because he had a long sleeved fleece jacket and matching toboggan in 80° weather, which may be why he can’t get the deliveries right. 😳

Sister from the other night, came back because resident fell and had to be transported to the hospital. She’s furious because she feels like she’s not being properly cared for, she’s also unrealistic about the treatment plan if she thinks she will be able to care for her better at home. She has ambulatory issues and has a lot of steps in her house.

Daughter and son-in-law came as I was talking to “sister” and thought I couldn’t multi-task.
Daughter: *Doesn’t make eye contact as she tries to come past me to enter the facility*
Me (as I pause my convo): You can’t come in
Daughter: I Lysoled and Cloroxed everything and put it in this Ziploc bag. It’s a picture of me and some cards. Please have them read it to him multiple times because he forgets (also unrealistic) and have someone charge his phone and answer it for him.
Me thinking: Why does he have a phone if he can’t answer?
Me: Okay
Sister: I’ll be back at 8p to see her off the ambulance
Daughter: Everything is clean and I don’t have any *hackily and wettly clears her throat partially uncovered* sickness
Me: 👀🤢🚶🏾‍♀️
Me on the other side of the door: I’ll tell the nurse

Peanutman came back to deliver the rest of my mother’s order and…offer some business advice.

I signed up for Monday prior to this, so please pray there’s no uprising because the people are frustrated. In the meantime, I have to make sure Michai has met his class deadlines. Oh, he was upset I registered his number to receive notifications from an organization.
Michai: Why would you do that? I’m already getting too many notifications from my teachers, I don’t need anymore
Me: Welcome to my world 😁

Food came from Miss Ora’s today, where I received my ever so warm greeting. Picked up my tea leaves from Ma’ati and it came with complimentary soap…Pic 1

The rest of the pics…compliments of my girl Journi. She is going to change the world!
