Today’s Friendship Chronicles…

One of my members greeted me Thursday and asked how I was doing on “the 4th Monday of the week?” It’s been a long and mentally draining week; one that requires a gathering of friends to talk and encourage one another.

The gathering happened in a nontraditional way, but it is typically nontraditional since we all live different and extremely busy lives. It began with being able to be honest about my emotions with my friend/hairstylist who didn’t judge nor offer solutions; she listened and identified. I pushed myself to attend the Gospel Play, “Follow Me”, to support Frank where Deanie, Courtney and I talked about reaching the time in our lives where there is no socializing afterwards because we are all ready to go home. *Speaking of the play, y’all can see it today at 3p and 7p at Parkland High School.* We are proud of and happy for Frank, and pic 2 gives an example of Frank’s personality. He had a scene where he was looking at his cell phone, so I told the crew I was going to text him…in true Frank fashion, he RESPONDED…IN CHARACTER…DURING THE PLAY.

Another example of Frank’s personality…my grandmother always said, “Things always happen on the Sabbath.” My car stopped around 11p and it was close to midnight before roadside assistance came to tow it. *Speaking of roadside assistance…they sent Pat’s Towing. They were very prompt and their customer service was AMAZINGLY REFRESHING.* My mom (and I kind of was too since I wasn’t strapped and was too tired to use my combat skills in that tight blazer) was uncomfortable with me getting an Uber. Frank is my neighbor, but I didn’t want to call him because performing can be exhausting. Frank works for Reynolds, Harris Teeter, is now an actor but is also an Uber AND Lyft driver, so I called him anyway. He immediately came to my rescue and had me laughing all the way home.

Cherish your friends however you can because true friends are hard to come by and death is disrespectful to all ages…

OAN: Y’all pray my car can be repaired today and won’t cost a lot since this is Spring Break and I DO NOT want to listen to Michai talk to his friends on this Playstation all weekend. Happy Sabbath
