Today’s Education Chronicles…

My student’s were so engaged today on our FINAL day together. Against my better judgement, I took them some cupcakes and I’m glad I did because they earned them. It was my mother’s idea so I guess mothers DO know best.

While working on their activity, we needed some REAL glue so I got some from a 2nd grade bag. A “God Wink” was awaiting as it was the bag of my favorite book. This book, and “Oh The Places You Will Go” have formed and continued so many relationships.

Speaking of relationships, pic 3 is 1/3 of the godchildren. I babysat her and her twin brother for years. Her personality surprised me and I’m so happy she’s doing things her way.

High School fundraisers aren’t the same and neither are concerts. It was 2 loooonngg hours. First video is me standing in honor of my retired Army brother-in-law and the last video is their tribute to Wakanda! 🙅🏾‍♀️

They honored seniors and it’s funny how people don’t know how to address students who are either going to a technical school, taking a gap year or not going to college at all. It was awkward but the some of the student’s words of wisdom lightened the mood.

•It’s ok to procrastinate and take a step back to figure things out
•Stay above the law, but always under the influence

It also let us know they must come from privileged homes 😐😂
