Today’s (Evening) Work Chronicles…

Prior to getting to work, I had the opportunity to share my WSSU MSEN experience. I should have known my mentor, who’s responsible for the opportunity, would be snapping away. I’m kind of glad he did because it displays a portion of my passion for equity, education and equitable educational opportunities. It also displays my fellow Ram next to me and a good view of my “Support Black Women” Earbobz.

Speaking of the Bobz, I wheeled a resident back to get her dinner and while I was setting it up she said, “I’m trying to read you. B-L-A-C-K.”
Me: Black
Her: But you’re yellow
Me: 🤔
Prior to that, she asked if I was wearing a gown? 🙄

Speaking of my top, I didn’t realize it revealed so much of my shoulder until a resident asked:
Him: Where do you work before here?
Me: In insurance
Him: How long?
Me: 12 years
Him: How long you been driving?
Me: 20 years
Him: *with a smile on his face* How long you had that tattoo?
Me: Since I was 18. Do you have one?
Him: Yea, but it rubbed off
Me: 😏

I tell Michai all the time, you never know who’s watching you; as evidenced by the residents’ observations and these photos.
