“I’m not lucky, I’m loved” are lyrics from a song by Jonathan McReynolds that are fitting for my morning. Friends provided me with viddles and beverages for the weekend and I DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED!
Now on to the “Full Moon (I know it’s next week) Activities” of the day…
•Transportation leaves lady in the hall who is known to hawk up unimaginable sputum…Lady: ‘SECATERRY!’ ‘SECATERRY!’
Me: 🙄Yes?
Her: What’s wrong with the vending machine?
Me: I don’t know
Her: Is it some Cheez-its in that room?
Me: I’ll check…but thinking, you don’t need any more snacks than what’s provided when you weigh as much as you do and are on your way to dialysis
Her: Thank you. Is Denise yo momma?
Me: Yes (for the 15th time)
•There is poor communication in the facility. A family reserved a room that wasn’t noted so I emptied the trash and helped with everything else that was housekeeping’s responsibility and only asked him to clean the floor. I apologized and explained it was urgent and unannounced.
Him: Yea, this is not a good time
Me: Are you going to do it or not?
Him: I mean I’ll do it…
Me: 🚶🏾♀️🚶🏾♀️🚶🏾♀️
•Man comes to try and schedule his care plan meeting…
Him: Do you ever go home?
Me: *fake laughs and am confused because I’m not here that often*
Him: *explains request*
Me: *offers solution*
Him: Ok, thanks Denise
Me: 🤦🏾♀️My badge doesn’t say Denise, my glasses don’t say Denise and my hair colors surely don’t say Denise
•Lady, who packs her bag full of complimentary snacks, comes in and says, “Imma get me a bottle of water.” I knew she was lying because: 1. She wouldn’t have announced it 2. Bottled water doesn’t sound like cellophane
