Today’s HBCU/MSEN/Volunteering/Life Chronicles…

We’re baaacckkkk…working at the WSSU MSEN Dewey’s Holiday Store. It was a pleasure to work with the two on the right. The young lady with the bright smile made my heart so full when I learned of all her accomplishments in the Early College Program. Her mother (and father), who is standing next to her, is so supportive of her daughter and all kids. They brought me up to speed on things Michai should be involved in and timelines for college visits, applications, etc.

Michai spent the shift completing a lab after spending the afternoon with Crosby learning about himself via Myers Briggs. I explained how fortunate he was to learn about this so early and how there are different types of leaders after hearing him say, “I’m not built for leadership. It requires too much talking.” 🤣🤣🤣

Kelly came to close the store and did so while also watching video from her daughter’s practice. What parents sacrifice to be present…

We’ll go back 12.15 and 12.22, so come see us. Still next to Cato in Silas Creek Crossing…
