Today’s WSSU MSEN Volunteer Chronicles…
As you can see, I’m volunteering minus Michai. He attended a birthday “sleepover” but didn’t go to sleep until 630a. Needless to say, he didn’t know who I was nor where he was when I woke him up to come here. Oh, but guess who will be at the back of the store Tuesday MORNING while he works alone for his Crosby Scholars’ hours?!? See Pic 1
Pic 2…y’all know I’m big on energy and this couple’s energy was different. She wanted to know how to get some EarBobz with clips. She later discussed how they lost everything in a fire and how much of their bodies was burned. I told her I was glad they were still alive. She said, “Yea, but sometimes it’s hard. Everybody says it’s just stuff, but I don’t have any pictures of myself as a child or my mother and her side of the family. I never found my cats. If it wasn’t for one of them waking me up, we would have been dead.”
